Ingredients
For the Chicken Wings:
- 2 lbs chicken wings (drumettes and flats)
- 1 tbsp oil (vegetable or canola)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp smoked paprika or regular paprika
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 1½ tsp baking powder (for crispiness)
Buffalo Sauce (Domino’s-style)
- ¼ cup Frank’s RedHot or similar hot sauce
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- ½ tsp white vinegar
- ¼ tsp Worcestershire sauce
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp sugar
- Pinch of salt
- Optional: ¼ tsp cayenne pepper for extra heat
BBQ Sauce Option:
- ¼ cup BBQ sauce
- 1 tbsp honey
- ½ tsp smoked paprika or regular paprika
- ¼ tsp mustard (optional)
- Dash of Worcestershire sauce

Instructions
Step 1: Prep the Wings
- Pat the wings completely dry with paper towels.
- Toss them with oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, pepper, salt, and baking powder.
Step 2: Cook the Wings
Oven Method:
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Line a tray with foil and place a greased wire rack on top.
- Arrange wings in a single layer and bake for 40–45 minutes, flipping halfway through.
Air Fryer Method:
- Preheat to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook wings in batches for 24–28 minutes, shaking halfway through.
Step 3: Make the Sauce
Buffalo Sauce:
- Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat.
- Stir in hot sauce, vinegar, Worcestershire, garlic powder, sugar, cayenne (if using), and salt.
- Mix well and heat for 1–2 minutes.
BBQ Sauce:
- Combine BBQ sauce, honey, paprika, mustard, and Worcestershire in a pan.
- Heat gently until glossy and warm.
Step 4: Toss and Serve
- Toss hot wings in your preferred sauce.
- Serve immediately with celery, carrot sticks, and a side of blue cheese or ranch dip.
Tips
- Dry wings = crispy wings. Don't skip the pat-drying step.
- Baking powder helps break down skin proteins for crunch without frying.
- Toss wings in sauce just before serving to keep the crispiness.
