Recipe Options
1. Oven Method
-
Preheat: Heat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
-
Season: Toss the Brussels sprouts in olive oil, garlic (if using), herbs, salt, and pepper. Spread them out on the baking sheet.
-
Roast: Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
-
Finish: Drizzle with balsamic vinegar or honey (optional) and serve warm.
2. Air Fryer Method
-
Preheat: Set your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
-
Season: Toss the Brussels sprouts in olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper.
-
Cook: Spread them in a single layer in the air fryer basket and cook for 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
-
Finish: Garnish with Parmesan or red pepper flakes if desired.
Pan Method
-
Heat Oil: Heat 2 tbsp of olive oil in a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat.
-
Sear: Place the Brussels sprouts in the pan and cook for 5 minutes without stirring, until they develop a golden crust. Toss them and make sure they are cooked and most of them have the color changed to brown.
-
Finish: Remove the lid, add balsamic or honey (optional), and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
Tips
-
Make sure the Brussels sprouts are dry for extra crispiness by putting them on a kitchen towel to absorb extra water before cooking.
-
Add bacon bits or toasted nuts for a crunchy topping.
-
If you like a spicy kick, sprinkle red chili flakes or drizzle with sriracha before serving.
